The topic of sustainability, particularly in the context of packaging and its environmental implications, is a constant subject of discussion. It represents the primary challenge for companies in our industry that aim to thrive in the long term. For us, this entails making a meaningful contribution to reducing the environmental impact throughout the entire lifecycle of a product, from design and production to marketing and its end-of-life recovery. With this goal in mind, at the end of 2020, we established Zero In•Pack, our internal lab dedicated to developing
innovative packaging solutions with a lower environmental footprint. Through a “Life Cycle Assessment” tool that we have developed in collaboration with Bocconi University in Milan, we can measure the environmental impacts associated with the components and materials chosen for a product. This allows us, along with our clients, to make informed decisions from the design phase onwards on how these impacts can be reduced.
